Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, who spent a few years as Aaron Rodgers teammate with the Packers, has weighed in on where he thinks Rodgers should sign, and it’s not the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are the current betting favorites to land Rodgers.
With the quarterback free agent market beginning to take shape — Sam Darold to the Seahawks, Justin Fields to the Jets, Daniel Jones to the Colts, etc. — Aaron Rodgers’ options are now beginning to take shape, with the Steelers and Giants currently installed as the betting favorites.
Brett Favre, however, believes that Rodgers should follow in his career footsteps and ahead to the Minnesota Vikings, which is exactly what Favre did after his lone disappointing season as the Jets starting QB (in Favre’s defense, he had the Jets at 8-3 at one point in that season).
“By all means, sign with them. They got a really good football team. They’re loaded at pretty much every position. They made it to the playoffs last year. They got a tremendous fan base, much like the Packers. If you get the opportunity, that’s a good place to win. Of course, you gotta play the Packers then,” Favre while appearing on The Will Cain Show.

Earlier this week, the Steelers traded for wide receiver DK Metcalf in a deal with the Seattle Seahawks — adding Aaron Rodgers to that mix alongside George Pickens would likely create a highly combustible situation in the Steelers locker room but would also be must-see TV for neutral NFL fans.
During the 2024 campaign with the New York Jets, Rodgers — in his only season as the team’s starting QB, leading them to a disappointing 5-12 record and helping extend the franchise’s postseason drought to 14 years — completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 starts.
