Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, found herself at the center of an uproar for liking a social media post.
On Friday, Brittany liked a post from Donald Trump on Instagram.

Brittany received immediate backlash on social media.
Eventually Brittany released a statement blasting people hating on her for liking a post.
“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

Patrick Mahomes has mostly stayed out of politics during his NFL career, and despite his wife’s social media activity, don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
