The Las Vegas Raiders used their latest first round NFL Draft pick on Georgia tight end Brock Bowers. The ultra-talented pass catcher shined at the college ranks, winning a pair of national titles with the Bulldogs.

Soon, he’ll make his NFL debut. He was asked about his upcoming contest with the Chargers after practice one day this week.

While Bowers’ anticipation for what lies ahead was the topic of that conversation, it’s what’s now gone that began trending on social media.

The tight end’s hair appeared thin in that interview, leading many to beg the rookie to shave it off. The end result is inevitable – he might as well get ahead of the curve!

“Brock Bowers should join us in the final stage of hair loss grief: acceptance.”

“Nobody is rooting for him to lose his hair, but he needs to free himself from the shackles he’s bound by.”

“Bald guys have been through this. Listen to the knowledge we pass along.”

At 21 years old, Bowers might not be ready to let it go just yet. A few online followers had his back, most notably sports host Ryen Russillo.

Leave Brock Bowers alone. It’s his decision. I’ll never understand bald guys rooting for other guys to lose their hair. Least sympathetic group of survivors ever.

Bowers was drafted with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after an incredible college career. In Athens, the tight end hauled in 175 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 scores. He also ran for five touchdowns, showing off his versatility and athleticism.

If his hairline is the only criticism in his rookie year, Brock Bowers should be in for a great pro start. We’ll see if he cedes to the demands of others or decides to stand his ground.
