Life has never been harder for offensive tackles like Pittsburgh Steelers OT Broderick Jones in the NFL. Edge rushers are more athletic than ever before, and quarterbacks are stuck holding the ball a little bit longer due to the match zone coverage schemes that are dominating the league’s defenses right now.

On Sunday, following the Steelers’ 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Broderick Jones got frustrated with the amount of negative comments he was getting on Twitter, and took the time to reply to some of them via his official Twitter account.

Jones has been struggling with penalties this year, and while a costly personal foul penalty on the team’s first drive was attributed to fellow offensive lineman Spencer Anderson, many Steelers fans believed Jones was responsible. And, they were not happy about it.

Broderick Jones gave up a sack, as well, and Steelers fans are disappointed with the play from their 2023 1st-round pick.

Broderick Jones did what no athlete should ever do, and searched his name on Twitter after a rough performance. He picked out a few tweets to respond to, most of which had insensitive language.

Those are the more appropriate exchanges. All in all, it’s a terrible look by Broderick Jones to be doing this.
