Broncos QB Ben DiNucci is going from the TV booth back onto the field.
On Saturday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton announced that Bo Nix had suffered a season-ending ankle injury late in the team’s win against the Bills.
Immediately after the game, Payton announced that backup QB Jarret Stidham would be the starter for the rest of the playoffs.
“I know how he was coached in New England. I know exactly how he was coached in New England,” Payton said. “And then I know how [current Patriots OC Josh] McDaniels felt about him … but ultimately … it’s our three years here, our three years watching him day in and day out. He will be ready to go.”
On Sunday, the Broncos signed QB Ben DiNucci, who played for the team previously.
