Nobody has ever doubted the incredible vocal talents of Bruno Mars. After all, there’s a reason that the pop superstar is a 16-time Grammy Award winner, with three more nominations in 2026.

But similarly speaking, when you hear the name Bruno Mars, you certainly don’t think of him covering grunge songs. At least, not until this week.

Mars joined a star-studded band that included an incredible list of surprise-guest rock stars including Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slash and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Rose, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Yungblud, and Brandi Carlile for billionaire Todd Boehly’s holding company Eldridge Industries.

Boehly is a co-owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chelsea FC.

Bruno Mars Shows Off His Ridiculous Talent As A Vocalist

On Friday afternoon, videos from the concert began to hit social media, including one that saw Mars absolutely belting out Nirvana’s biggest hit, “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

Now, when most people saw the name Bruno Mars and “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” they cringed a little. But the result was shockingly good!

This man has been singing the wrong genre his entire career,” one fan wrote.

Unfortunately, this dork is good at everything he chooses to do,” said another.

The set list included an impressive cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love,’ and he also absolutely crushed a cover of Michael Jackson’s hit, “Dirty Diana,” although that comes as far less of a surprise.

The full set list for the show looked absolutely incredible, and just comes as a reminder that being an obscenely rich billionaire can buy you just about anything you could ever want.
