Bryce Harper is one of the most high-profile athletes, if not the most high-profile athlete, in sports to call Las Vegas home. So to say that he was affected by the terrifying attack that took place there Sunday night would probably be an understatement.

One can only imagine what goes through the mind of someone living in a city where such a mindless massacre has taken place.

So to show his support for his hometown and all of those affected by the tragic events of October 1st, Harper today unveiled a pair of special cleats honoring his city and the people who live in it.

“Vegas this is for you!💯 #VegasStrong #HomeTown,” Harper captioned the photo of the custom cleats.

Harper has also been spotted working out in anticipation of the Nationals’ first playoff game versus the Cubs on Friday wearing a #VegasStrong hoodie…

And while none of this will take back that horror and sadness that resulted from the mindless attack, it is still certainly nice for Vegas residents to know that they are not alone in dealing with the recovery and aftermath of such a terrible event.

Go get ’em, Harp.
