Alabama QB Bryce Young Shows Off His Wide Receiver Skills By Shaking Defensive Back With Nasty Cut

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, but a position change might be in his future. Not really, but it’s fun to think about.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, the 20-year-old was in attendance at the Steve Clarkson Quarterback Retreat in Santa Monica. He was one of a few big-name signal-callers in attendance.

The QB Retreat is one of the most prestigious two-day training camps in the world and it is designed to prepare the best young quarterbacks in the country for the Division-I, FBS level. It is open for 3rd graders to 12th graders and alumni list is full of big-name talent.

Of the many counselors involved in the 2022 QB Retreat, Young was among them. He was there to help train the young guns and even took some time to show off his skills as a pass-catcher.

Although the defensive back lined up on Young was about half of his size, the Heisman winner put him in a blender, cut inside and straight bodied him.

Even though Young serves much better as a quarterback, maybe Nick Saban will get his eyes on the video from Sunday’s QB Retreat and dial up some sort of wide receiver pass back to Young. At 6-foot-0, 195 pounds, the rising junior could be a fantastic slot receiver if he wasn’t too busy throwing touchdowns.
