Argentina won its third World Cup on Sunday in what many are calling the greatest World Cup Final ever played.
It was the final trophy eluding Lionel Messi, the GOAT, and it solidified his place in history as arguably the greatest ever to play the game.
Back in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the city was erupting into celebration. To call this an epic party is an insult to the massive scale of this fiesta. Drone footage of Buenos Aires reveals that the capital city was partying on a scale that hasn’t been seen in years.

There are so many layers here. They’re celebrating Lionel Messi, the GOAT, winning his first World Cup and cementing his legacy as the greatest soccer player in history. It’s an outpouring of emotion over the passing of Diego Maradona who left this earth two years ago.
The last time Argentina won a World Cup was in 1986. They then went on to finish runner-up in 1990 and 2014. This pandamonium was the catharsis of Messi finally lifting that trophy and Argentina getting over the hump of playing second fiddle.
Meanwhile in Qatar, Lionel Messi was approached by ‘Salt Bae’ during the World Cup celebrations and gave him the ultimate cold shoulder.
