An eight-year-old cancer survivor was able to experience her first NFL game at Highmark Stadium on Sunday when the Buffalo Bills battled the San Francisco 49ers. Despite snowy winter conditions, she refused to miss out!

Unfortunately, the day ended on a sour note as she was apparently shoved by a Bills fan while trying to leave her seat. The story immediately went viral online, leading to an outpouring of support.

Mia DeCamilla won a fight with liver cancer. A lifelong Niners fan, she jumped at the opportunity to watch her favorite team and favorite player (Brock Purdy) in person. Her family shared photos from the contest, which was meant to be a celebration, alongside a disturbing message on Facebook regarding the incident.

“Sadly, we left earlier than expected,” the post read. “Unfortunately, we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decided it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight-year-old daughter.”

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was one of the first to share the news, asking for support from followers on his X timeline. He reposted the DeCamilla family’s original message along with a GoFundMe link.

The Buffalo Bills have also reportedly reached out. They plan to “provide Mia a better stadium experience with a future visit.”

Luckily, no one was severely injured. Hopefully, Mia and her family are able to return to Highmark Stadium in the future.
