6-Foot-8, 380-Pound (!!) High School Offensive Lineman Blocks Four Players AT THE SAME TIME

Byron Washington 6-Foot-8, 380 Pounds High School Football
Syracuse Athletics

Byron Washington is one of the biggest high school seniors in the entire country. The massive Texas-native makes his teammates and opponents look like they are still in elementary school.

He blocked four players at the same time on Friday night!

Although his monstrous frame is not the only thing that defines Washington as a person, it is obviously a big part of who he is. At 6-foot-8, 380 pounds, there are very few not any high school football players on the field at any given time who come close to his height or weight.

Watching him go through warmups is a thing of beauty.

This is not a new thing. Washington has always been big. He dwarfed Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian during a recruiting visit last year. It is very easy to pick him out from a crowd.

Syracuse ultimately received the three-star prospect’s commitment over offers from Arizona State, TCU, Oregon, UCF, Duke and Houston, among others. The Orange are excited to have Washington anchor its offensive line of the future. Especially after watching him work on Friday.

Desoto High School, the 17th-ranked team in the country, lost to Duncanville, the No. 4-ranked team in the country. Although the loss was not ideal, the Eagles worked hard to rally from an early deficit in the second half and let Byron Washington lead the way.

He at one point blocked two, if not three defenders, and a pair of teammates while clearing the way for running back Tiger Riden. (Which is a great name!)

It’s not like Washington even worked that hard either. All he had to do was get low and set up an impermeable wall that allowed the ball-carrier to walk into the end zone.
