Multi-millionaire Crumbl Cookies CEO Jason McGowan came through for BYU when the football team needed him.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Penn State was circling in on hiring BYU head coach Kalani Sitake.
Immediately after reports linking Sitake to Penn State went viral, McGowan, a major booster to BYU’s program, vowed to fight to keep the team’s head coach in place.
Some people are not replaceable. Sounds like it is time for me to get off the sidelines and get to work.

On Tuesday, ESPN reported that Sitake eventually rejected Penn State after BYU came in with a “lucrative” offer to keep him.
According to ON3’s Pete Nakos, BYU is giving Sitake a $9-$9.5 million contract while also promising to invest $10-$15 million in NIL money to the program.

In the process, BYU is also preparing to commit between $10 million and $15 million in NIL dollars on top of the revenue-sharing commitments in place under the House settlement, Nakos reported. Sitake is expected to receive a new deal worth roughly $9 to $9.5 million annually over the course of the contract.
BYU fans are now sending Crumbl Cookies to Penn State’s offices to mock PSU for losing out on hiring Kalani Sitake.
