An Ole Miss team that was expected to compete for a national championship lost its second game of the 2024 college football season on the road at LSU on Saturday. The (social media famous) wife of tight end Caden Prieskorn is frustrated by the lack of touches for her husband.

She decided to call out Lane Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weiss Jr. on Instagram.

Prieskorn, a fifth-year senior, transferred to Oxford after three seasons at Memphis. He earned First-Team All-AAC honors in 2022 with 681 yards and seven touchdowns for the Tigers. He led all SEC tight ends with 14.97 yards per receptions last year and was the Offensive MVP of the Peach Bowl in January.

Even though Prieskorn likely would’ve been drafted into the NFL last April, the 25-year-old decided to run it back for one “last dance” with the Rebels. It was expected that he was going to have a big role in one of the most explosive offenses in college football this season.

That has not been the case.

Caden Prieskorn is not involved.

Prieskorn has only 12 catches through seven games. Half of them were in the first two weeks. One of them — his lone catch against Kentucky — went for 42 yards.

To make matters worse, Prieskorn was wide-open on 1st-and-25 during Saturday’s loss to LSU. Jaxson Dart (who had multiple free rushers in his face) threw an interception instead.

Cali Prieskorn, Caden’s wife, has more than 230,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok. She is not pleased with her husband’s lack of touches thus far.

Ole Miss posted a series of photos from practice to social media on Tuesday afternoon.

Cali commented on the post. She begged for Caden see more targets next weekend.

Hopefully we can see 86 get more than one ball next game! 🤭

To be fair, she is not alone in this thinking. Most fans feel the exact same way.

Caden Prieskorn absolutely needs to have a bigger role in the Ole Miss offense.

With that being said, it is not a great look for an active player’s wife to air out her grievances in this way. Matters of this nature should be handled internally between the player, the team and the coaching staff. These kinds of backhanded comments on social media do not help the situation.
