Despite just being in their rookie seasons, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were each half of the biggest rivalry in the WNBA in 2024. The two superstars carried over their rivalry from their college days at Iowa and LSU respectively and were at the center of some of the league’s biggest storylines.
Ultimately, it was Clark who got the last laugh as she won the league’s Rookie of the Year award and led her Indiana Fever team to the WNBA playoffs. But Reese’s rookie season was nothing to scoff at and she established herself as perhaps the league’s most tenacious rebounder.
But when the two meet again in 2025, it’ll be even bigger than it was a year ago. That’s because the Chicago Sky, who played at the 10,400-seat Wintrust Arena in 2024, are making a change.

Chicago Sky Moving To United Center For Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark Matchups
The team announced Friday that it was moving from Wintrust Arena to the United Center for its two regular season games against Clark and the Indiana Fever in 2025. The United Center, which serves as the full-time home to the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, seats nearly 21,000 fans for basketball sellouts.
The games against Indiana will mark the first time in the 20-year franchise history of the Chicago Sky that the team will play in the United Center.
Clark has previously downplayed her rivalry with Reese.
“I don’t get that at all,” she said. “We’re not best friends, by any means, but we’re very respectful of one another…The only thing people cared about was this controversy that was really fabricated and made up, and then that has continued to be the case ever since.”
But it’s clear the two are must-see players, and now far more fans will actually be able to see them square off.
