It’s been a pretty solid year for Caitlin Clark, the Iowa superstar who wasn’t able to lead the Hawkeyes to a victory over LSU in the national championship game but nonetheless found herself thrust into the spotlight thanks to her stellar play over the course of the season.

Now, Clark has found herself temporarily immortalized in the most Iowa manner possible thanks to the life-sized butter sculpture in her image that recently popped up at the Iowa State Fair.

Clark wasted no time announcing her arrival when she kicked off her freshman year with the Hawkeyes in 2020, but she really took things to the next level earlier this year after following up her monster performance against Louisville in the NCAA Tournament (where she pulled out her somewhat infamous John Cena-inspired taunt) with a jaw-dropping clinic that sent an undefeated South Carolina squad home.

In the end, the Hawkeyes were no match for a Tigers team that trounced them by 17 points in the title game, but Clark seems to have a very bright future ahead of her as she gears up for her senior season and an inevitable leap to the WNBA.

Now, the point guard has been the recipient of what is arguably Iowa’s highest honor in the form of one of the butter sculptures that have been popping up at the Iowa State Fair since someone first decided to use hundreds of pounds of the dairy product to construct a creamy cow all the way back in 1911.

The Butter Cow is a staple that remains the main attraction at the exhibit in question every single year, but since 1996, it’s also featured “Companion Structures” that give butter artists the chance to branch out a bit and show off their creative side.

In the past, guests have gotten to take a glimpse at butter sculptures of Tiger Woods, John Wayne, and Harry Potter, and now, Clark has officially joined their ranks this year as the fair honors “iconic Iowa athletes” (she’s joined by butter versions of Kurt Warner and Jack Trice).

It’s honestly all downhill from there.
