Caitlin Clark underwent some pretty serious struggles early on in her WNBA career. Many ignorantly expected the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer to hit the ground running as one of the league’s very best players, and she didn’t quite live up to that billing in her first dozen-or-so games in the league.

But, those struggles seem to have gone by the wayside. The Indiana Fever guard put on another stellar performance against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday night.

Caitlin Clark filled up the stat sheet, scoring 18 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, dealing out 6 assists, and nabbing four steals. Plus, she was really efficient from the floor too, doing all of that on just 12 shots, of which she made six.

Not only did she play well, but the Indiana Fever won again, 88-81. After an 0-6 and 2-9 start to the season, they’ve won three in a row and four of five to get back to a much more respectable 6-10.

Things are definitely moving in the right direction for Caitlin Clark. In her last outing, she had 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. After she had a four-game stretch in which she failed to score more than 10 points in three of them, that might be her breakthrough game when we look back at her rookie year in the WNBA.

Clark will look to continue her strong play on Friday when the Fever travel to take on the Atlanta Dream.
