Caitlin Clark has a decision to make over the 122 days. Iowa’s superstar sharpshooter could choose to return to college for a fifth and final season in 2024/25, or enter the WNBA Draft in April.

As things currently stand, it is expected that Caitlin Clark will go pro. All of the early signs point toward a future alongside Aliyah Boston (and her boyfriend) with the Fever in Indiana.

However, Hawkeyes head coach Lisa Bluder is going to present the pros and cons to both sides and remains hopeful that lucrative NIL deals could lead to an additional year at Iowa. Meanwhile, businesses in Indianapolis are working hard to get Clark to declare.

A decision could come as soon as tomorrow. It could come as late as April 5.

No matter what Clark decides, she is already a star. That will not change.

What will change is the lineup for both the Hawkeyes and the Fever.

One will miss out on an all-time great. The other will add an all-time great, for at least one more year.

Recruits hope to play with Caitlin Clark!

Aaliyah Guyton, the daughter of Indiana men’s basketball legend and former NBA guard A.J. Guyton, committed to Iowa as part of the most recent class. She is considered to be a four-star guard, and one of the top-100 players in the country.

Guyton did not commit to the Hawkeyes to play with Clark.

That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t want to play with Clark! It would provide a great opportunity to practice against and play alongside one of the best to ever do it.

I’ve thought about all the possibilities, especially of her coming back and how I could learn from her.

Guyton really enjoyed getting to know her on an official visit to Iowa over the summer.

She’s fun to be around. She’s competitive in everything. She was really cool to meet.

While there is no indication as to whether they will ever be on the same team at the same time, the Peoria High School star feels like they are already teammates! Guyton is learning how to play at the highest level by watching Clark play.

As I watch her play, I try and learn from what she is doing, like when they try and double team her. There’s extra pressure on her. Watching her games are very helpful for me this season.

Regardless of whether Clark returns to Iowa next season or not, her impact on the future of women’s basketball cannot be understated.
