For the first time in history, ESPN’s “College GameDay” made its way to Berkeley as Cal plays host to Miami on Saturday.

And Cal fans did not disappoint. After breaking onto the set before it officially opened, Bears fans littered the set with some of the best signs that GameDay has ever seen.

But then they took things one step further, enlisting help from host Pat McAfee to exert a little pressure on his first-year co-host Nick Saban.

Saban, who is often seen as straight-laced and at times uptight, wasn’t exactly a natural fit for the lax atmosphere of Berkeley.

And so Cal fans began shouting at Saban in unison, “take off your tie!”

The legendary coach, who has shown a side of himself many had not seen since joining “College GameDay,” quickly and somewhat surprisingly obliged.

He removed his tie, much to the delight of Cal fans and McAfee. And then McAfee provided him with a blue and yelled Cal-colored tie instead.

Saban was just waiting to get outta Tuscaloosa to do a Striptease reprise at Cal, what a come up for him,” one viewer tweeted of the hilarious moment.

“Nick Saban + @PatMcAfeeShow on @CollegeGameDay is the BEST thing to happen to college football in a LONG TIME. How can you not enjoy watching them,” wrote another.

Saban and McAfee have combined to make one of college football’s all-time great odd couples. And they added yet another hilarious moment to their ever-growing highlight reel on Saturday.
