Caleb Williams will not be making his NFL debut during the Bears’ upcoming preseason game on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus announced that the team’s starters, including Williams, would not play in Thursday’s Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.
“The starters are not playing in the Hall of Fame game, we feel really good at where we’re at right now in terms of the practices we’ve had…had a lot of good 1v1s, 2v2s, a lot of situations, we got a headstart cause we are in the Hall of Fame game..
“It’s a great opportunity for the role players on our team and the guys that are fringe players.”

NFL fans are not happy that the first preseason game will not feature the NFL Draft’s #1 overall pick.
