Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Squashes Beef With Caleb Williams During Sweet Pregame Gesture

Even though the Chicago Bears have a less than one percent chance of making the NFL Playoffs during a frustrating rookie season for Caleb Williams, star wide receiver DJ Moore stands by his quarterback. They do not have any outstanding beef despite the ongoing chatter about their supposedly troubled relationship.

That was made abundantly clear during a sweet moment prior to Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Williams, the No. 1 pick in last year’s NFL Draft, has shown flashes of greatness. However, he has thrown only nine touchdowns with five interceptions and ranks near the bottom of the league in most statistical categories. To make matters worse, the Bears entered the weekend at 4-6.

Amidst all of the early-season struggles, it seemed as though Moore was sick and tired of Williams. The 27-year-old walked off of the field mid-play during a brutal loss to the Cardinals. His body language seemed to reflect frustration with the young signal-caller during the first few weeks of the season.

He looked upset with Williams for throwing someone else the ball during a loss to New England.

Because of how Moore was acting, NFL fans and analysts were quick to theorize that he hates his new quarterback. His praise of Williams’ leadership last month would reflect otherwise.

As does a friendly interaction during pregame on Sunday. They shared a hug prior to kickoff that put all of the rumors to bed. There is no hatred or bad blood between them.

DJ Moore wears his emotions on his sleeve. It’s who he is and has always been. There are times where he is going to be irritated with Caleb Williams during the developmental phase of his career in the same way that the Williams is disappointed with himself. That doesn’t mean there is not love between them.
