It seems USC’s star quarterback Caleb Williams might just be shooting for the moon with his NFL aspirations.
According to a report from July from ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, Williams and his representatives, have been making some noise about a rather bold demand. The report says that Caleb wants a piece of ownership from the NFL team that will pick him in the 2024 Draft, if he decides to enter it. He’s currently favored to go 1st overall.

And he’s not alone, the report also adds that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers tried to cut a similar deal with the New York Jets during contract negotiations. Can you imagine owning a part of the team you play for? That’s like living the dream on a whole new level.
But, here’s the kicker – the NFL stepped in and said no to Rodgers. As per the league, players or employees getting a piece of the team’s action is a big no-no.
It would’ve been really interesting if something like this goes through but clearly unlikely.
