Cam Newton Ripped Ref For No-Call On Low Hit ‘I Don’t Feel Safe, I’m Going To Talk To Roger Goodell About This’

In the third quarter of today’s Panthers-Cardinals game, Cam Newton went off on ref Walt Coleman after there was no flag on a low hit.

After the game, Cam went off again by saying that he didn’t feel “protected by officials” and that he was going to talk to Roger Goodell directly about the issue.

At times, I don’t even feel safe,. “Enough is enough. I plan on talking to Commissioner Goodell about this, but it’s not fun, and I don’t know what I have to do. I showed a lot of frustration today, and I apologized to the referee who I was talking to, but I don’t think there’s a person that can go through what I go through and still keep their head.”

“Hits to the head, that’s one thing,” . “But when you’re not protected in the pocket, that’s another thing. The story of my life ever since I came in is, ‘Oh, we missed that. I’m sorry.’ That’s bullcrap.”

It’s hard to take Cam serious while he’s wearing that pilgrim hat but he has a point and hopefully the league looks into the situation because he’s Cam eaten some illegal hits all season while refs have swallowed their whistle.
