The strange saga of Italian tennis Star Camila Giorgi has just taken yet another bizarre twist.

First, Giorgi, who reached reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2018 and reached career-high world tennis ranking of 26th in 2018, mysteriously retired without any warning or communication.

The WTA, when they heard that she had retired, was unable to reach Giorgi or her family as phone numbers belonging to her, her father and her brothers had been disconnected.

Then it was reported that Giorgi, 32, who has more than 740,000 Instagram followers, had retired to become a lingerie model.

As if that all of that wasn’t strange enough, another report came out that Camila Giorgi, her father, her mother, and her brothers were under investigation by the Florence Prosecutorโ€™s Office for โ€œseveral โ€˜gapsโ€™ regarding tax returns, which have never been submitted.โ€

She is also due to appear before the investigating magistrate of Vicenza on July 16 for a preliminary hearing in a case involving her relationship with a doctor who allegedly administered numerous fake COVID vaccines.

Authorities in Italy stated that they believe Giorgi was on the run from authorities and had fled Europe and moved to the United States.

Giorgi would eventually issue a statement in which she said, “there have been many inaccurate rumors about my future plans, so I hope to provide more information about the interesting opportunities I will have in the future.โ€

Now comes yet another bizarre report by Corriere Della Sera that claims Camila Giorgi left Italy with “worth around 100 thousand euros” worth of property from the villa she was renting in Calenzano, including Persian rugs, fine furniture, and an antique half-ton table.

Neighbors reportedly notified the villa’s owner a few months ago that vans were being loaded up with his property, but when he arrived “there was no one left and the house was half empty.”

“In the garden, however, there were other pieces of furniture and carpets piled on top of each other,” he said. “They had probably already filled the trucks and didn’t know where to put them anymore.”

She also allegedly left without paying six months worth of back rent she owed. Giorgi earned $6.4 million during her tennis career.

The owner of the villa says he contacted Camilla Giorgi’s father Sergio asking for the items back, but her father “responded in a contemptuous way, saying that they were objects of little value.”

“I can’t know how much is true or how much Camila owes the state, but I know what she owes us,” the villa’s owner said.

“Those objects are part of my mother’s life and mine: I want them back, at least this much, given that we have lost out on thousands and thousands of euros in back rent.”
