Justin Turner wasn’t the only one not following proper social distancing guidelines while celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first World Series title in 32 years. (That’s right. It’s been 32 years. In case you missed the 4,349 times Joe Buck told us about it during the series, all while saying the Dodgers were sick of hearing about it. But I digress. Sorry, still salty about Snell being pulled.)
Dozens of Dodgers fans also showed little semblance of concern over becoming infected or infecting others as they took to the streets of Los Angeles to light fires, loot stores and vehicles, do burnouts and donuts in the streets, and get arrested.
Wednesday morning, TMZ reported that one such vehicular celebration resulted in the car in question running smack dab into a guy on a bicycle then speeding off into the night.
The cyclist ended up on roof of the car as the driver accelerated, eventually rolling all the way across the top of the car before dropping off the trunk and sliding on the pavement.
Amazingly, the cyclist immediately popped right back up, but was displaying a noticable limp as others came to check on his condition.
TMZ also reports that at least a dozen people were arrested Tuesday night, though it was not clear if the driver of the vehicle that hit the cyclist was one of them.
