LSU football player Carius Curne is in the transfer portal after one season in Baton Rouge. He intends to visit rival programs in the SEC this offseason.
Unfortunately, his next move might be a more difficult than initially anticipated. He’s accused the Tigers of holding his paperwork hostage.
Holding my paper work trying to prevent me from opportunity is crazy work 😂😂 I just want to ball out 😂😂@LSUfootball

Who is Carius Curne?
The offensive lineman hails from Marion, Arkansas, and was considered a four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. He lived up to that billing in Baton Rouge.
After signing with the Tigers in the early period, he etched out a notable spot in the starting lineup. Curne played in eight games with five starts. Injuries held him back from achieving more.
Much has changed since he enrolled at LSU, however.
Head coach Brian Kelly was fired midseason. He’s since been replaced by Lane Kiffin. Curne does not plan on sticking around through the staff shakeup.
His intentions to hit the transfer portal surfaced earlier in the offseason. He officially entered on Sunday. SEC programs are at the top of his list.
The lineman has been linked to Georgia and Ole Miss. He’s trending most heavily, however, with hometown team Arkansas.
Carius Curne was the top player in the “Natural State” last recruiting season. He will now become the top-rated offensive tackle in the transfer portal.
According to the freshman, though, his current school is making things difficult.
LSU won’t let Curne leave, allegedly.
Curne took to social media to shade the Tigers and their new staff. He says the program is “holding (his) paperwork” in order to “prevent (him) from opportunity.”
Marion head coach Lance Clark tells me that his former star Carius Curne – an OL who played at LSU this past season – has his visits in a state of flux. That’s due to a hold up on his paper work that Curne tweeted about on Saturday. Curne has plans to visit Arkansas, Georgia and…

The paperwork holdup reportedly caused him to miss a previously scheduled trip to Athens. He’s made the issue public in attempts to keep the fiasco from dragging out.
We have only one side of the story to this point. There could be a reason for LSU’s supposed hesitance. Curne believes they simply don’t want to see him leave for another SEC school.
Despite the hiccup, he’s continued scheduling his visits with conference rivals. He’s made his desire to leave the Tigers more than clear.
