Carlos Gomez Pimped Out A Homer By Bat-Flipping And Dabbing, Then Punked Out Rob Dibble On Twitter About It

Houston Astros slugger Carlos Gomez has always been known as a little passionate and exuberant while on the baseball field. I mean, remember when the guy almost single-handedly started a brawl for “showing up” his opposition by tossing his bat last year?

Knowing that he plays the game with so much fun, no one should be surprised that Gomez had a lot of it during a spring training game against the Atlanta Braves yesterday, absolutely crushing a homer and doing every single thing that would make a baseball lifer cringe by flipping his bat, sprinting around the bases and then dabbing once he touched home plate.

There’s been a lot of talk from some old-timers who hate these new guys breaking the “unwritten rules” of the game by showboating and shit—and Gomez was the latest to hear some criticism, as former pitcher Rob Dibble took a stab at him.

Of course, when Gomez replied back in kind, Dibble seemed to take a different stance and back off the two-time All-Star outfielder—classic Internet troll move.

Turns out we can all get along after all.
