Carmelo Anthony has remained unsigned this offseason and on Friday afternoon he went on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ to clear the air in a candid interview with Stephen A. Smith.

While speaking with Stephen A., Melo opened up and revealed that there was a point that he didn’t want to play basketball because he didn’t want to deal with the “politics” but that he misses the game too much and wants back in.

Melo reiterated to Stephen A that he was willing to come off the bench despite previous reports stating the contrary.

During the interview, Melo said he would love to play with LeBron and has reached out to the Lakers, Clippers and several other teams about return.

The Lakers currently have a roster spot open but according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania the team is unlikely to sign Anthony this season. At the end of the day Melo will probably get another shot but we’re going to have to wait and see when that happens.
