While the Carolina Panthers are a down-on-their-luck franchise right now, it wasn’ that long ago that the franchise was playing in a Super Bowl following the 2015 season, ultimately losing to the Denver Broncos. The Panthers had as good of a roster as anyone and went 15-1 that season.
Now, three of the best players from that team in Luke Kuechly, Jonathan Stewart, and Greg Olsen are teaming up once again, this time to coach middle school football near Charlotte.
The three of them are on the staff at Charlotte Christian School, forming what has to be the most star-studded coaching staff in America.

Keuchly retired during the peak of his career due to concussions at just 28 years old, but he is one of the greatest football players of the last 25 years. In his eight year career, the middle linebacker was All-Pro seven times and Rookie of the Year the other year. Despite the short-ish career, if he’s not selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame soon, something is wrong.
Olsen is more-known now for being a critically-acclaimed analyst for NFL on Fox, though he is getting bumped out of the top team for Tom Brady. But, he made two All-Pro teams with the Panthers in 2015 and 2016, and was one of the best players of his generation at the position.
Stewart shared duties in the Panthers backfield for much of his career with DeAngelo Williams, but was the lead back in 2015, making the Pro Bowl. For his career, the Oregon product had 7,335 yards and 69 touchdowns.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Greg Olsen is the head coach for the school’s middle school team, and Kuechly and Stewart are his assistants. All three can be found at varsity practice at times too, taking a hands-on role in instruction.
While the other two are well out of their prime years, if Luke Kuechly decided to come back to the NFL right now at age 33, there would be plenty of suitors for his talents. Those middle school kids have a lot to learn from one of the coolest coaching staffs anywhere.
