Hanna Cavinder gifted Georgia quarterback Carson Beck with a sweatshirt for Christmas. The message printed on his new threads ignited rumors about the transfer portal.
It could hint at her boyfriend’s imminent departure at the end of this college football season or it could mean absolutely nothing at all.
Beck, a fifth-year senior, still has one season of eligibility remaining. He received a blanket waiver for 2020 and also used a redshirt— so he technically has six years to play five. With that in mind, there are a few different options for his future.
There is a chance that Beck could choose to turn pro and enter the NFL Draft pool. That was the plan before the season started. Analysts projected him as a top-five pick. He was a Heisman candidate.
Despite all of the hype, Beck saw a pretty steep decline in his production from 2023 to 2024. His completion clip dropped by more than eight percent. His interceptions doubled from six to 12.

NFL scouts still have their eyes on Carson Beck despite the drop off.

However, Beck injured his UCL during the SEC Championship and will miss the entire Playoff. Tommy John surgery is not off of the table. Nobody really knows his timeline for recovery.
That leaves Carson Beck with three options:
- Enter the NFL Draft pool and hope teams are not scared by his down year and subsequent injury.
- Return to Georgia for another season, if the Bulldogs will have him.
- Enter the transfer portal and return to college football for year six on a one-year deal with a new program.
If Hanna Cavinder’s Christmas gift is any indication, Beck is going to play 2025 with a new team— either with a professional organization or with a college football team that isn’t Georgia.
She got him a sweatshirt that asks: “Who wants me?”

The sweatshirt could be asking what NFL team wants to draft Carson Beck. It could also ask what college team wants to sign him out of the transfer portal. We will find out what exactly the sweatshirt means no later than five days after the Bulldogs’ Playoff run officially comes to a close.
