CeeDee Lamb Removes References To Cowboys From Social Media After Jerry Jones Disses Him

The Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb are at a contractual impasse that is going to clearly bleed into preseason games and could keep him out of the start of the regular season. Lamb, playing in the final year of his rookie deal,  is holding out for a new deal that would make him one of the game’s highest-paid wide receivers.

They seem to be further apart than ever, as Dallas Owner/GM Jerry Jones made ridiculous comments about the negotiations on Thursday and CeeDee Lamb seems pretty ticked off by it.

When asked about CeeDee Lamb’s contract situation, Jerry Jones had this to say on Thursday.

Yeah, that’s not the answer to give, considering that Lamb hasn’t practiced yet and Week 1 is just a month away. Given the fact that Lamb had just under 1,750 receiving yards last year and the Cowboys are otherwise devoid of top-flight playmakers, that’s someone they need to get back in the fold ASAP.

When CeeDee Lamb, who will play the entire season at 25,  saw those comments, he did not react well to them, as expected.

After this all went down, CeeDee Lamb removed “America’s Team” from his Twitter bio.

I understand why Jerry Jones feels the need to ger the best deal here. A likely record-setting contract extension for Micah Parsons looms, and they will likely have to pay Trevon Diggs too. That’s on top of an extension that needs to get done for Dak Prescott, too.

But, this is a team that has gone 12-5 the last three seasons. Yes, there has been playoff disappointment, but there is a Super Bowl window here if they can put it all together. Jerry Jones needs to find a way to get this deal done for one of the best young players in the entire NFL.
