For the past month, Bud Light has been at the center of controversy after hiring trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote their beer.

For more than two decades, Bud Light was the best-selling beer in the United States. Its sales exceeded $5 billion last year, roughly 9 percent of Anheuser-Busch InBev’s revenue. But since the boycott, Bud Light has been dethroned by Modelo Especial. In the four weeks that ended in mid-June, the volume of Bud Light sold nationally plunged an average of 29 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the research firm NIQ, analyzed by the consulting firm Bump Williams.

Several NFL players, including Travis Kelce and George Kittle, have faced backlash recently due to promoting Bud Light.

On Friday night, while at a bar in Lake Tahoe for the American Century Celebrity golf tournament, the NBA Hall of Famer turned sports broadcaster was filmed emphatically encouraging people to drink Bud Light, showing support for gay and trans people, and blasting critics who may have an issue with his message.

“I want you all to drink this f-in beer, I want you all to drink this beer, I got three cases of Bud Light. Hey, and I want to say this. If you’re gay, bless you, if you’re transgender, bless you. And if you have a problem with that, f— you!”

Last year, Barkley delivered a similar message while at Lake Tahoe.

“If you’re gay and transgender,” “I love you. Hey, and if anybody gives you s—, you tell them Charles said, ‘F— you!'”
