Charles Barkley has an issue with Joel Embiid.
In September, Embiid signed a massive greed on a three-year, $192.9 million maximum contract extension to remain with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Before the start of the season, the Sixers revealed that Embiid was sitting out to rest his knee, and it appeared that he was also going to sit out at the team’s game on Friday and Sunday, which led to an NBA investigation on the matter.
On Thursday, TNT’s Inside The NBA discussed the Embiid issue, and Barkley ripped the Sixers center to shreds.
“He just signed for 3 years, $193 million… to play basketball. We’re not steel workers, we’re not nurses.. People who have real jobs and work 40-50 hours a week We’re playing basketball, at the most, 4 days a week, most of the time 3 days a week”

Barkley had also ripped Embiid earlier this week for saying he wasn’t going to play in back-to-backs.
“You’re one of the three, four, five best players in the world. You cannot say, as a leader of that team, ‘I’m not gonna play certain games,'” Barkley said.
“I thought that was a bad message. I was very disappointed in Joel Embiid.”
