If there’s one thing we can alway depend on Charles Barkley for, it’s him entertaining whenever he’s on camera. That becomes especially true in the month of March when Barkley is tasked with analyzing college basketball after focusing on the NBA all season long.

This year, Barkley was tested on his college basketball knowledge. He was presented with pictures of logos for schools playing in the NCAA Tournament. Barkley was shown 5 logos and didn’t get much right.

The game didn’t start off well for Barkley as he confused Providence’s logo for the George Washington Colonials. The Colonials will not be competing in March Madness this year. He then proceeded incorrectly identify Murray State’s logo as that of the Marquette Trojans, which is not Marquette’s mascot.

Barkley seemed to be turning things around when he correctly identified the Vermont Catamounts. It was a strong answer and he clearly had confidence in his answer. That confidence last long.

His next mascot represented Creighton, which he was able to correctly figure out. However, he somehow landed on “Friars” as their mascot. You’d have thought he’d at least be in the bird ballpark for the Blue Jays.

Then he was given the Longwood logo. Barkley didn’t even have a guess for the Lancers and his final answer was a simple “I don’t know”. In Barkley’s defense, there probably aren’t many people that would recognize that logo outside of diehard college basketball fans.

It was a valiant effort from Charles Barkley, but identifying college basketball logos is clearly not a strong point of Barkley’s game.
