LPGA star Charley Hull made waves on social media ahead of her appearance at the US Open on Tuesday. The golfer was seen channeling her inner John Daly as she casually ripped heaters while signing autographs for fans on the course.

Hull hopes it’s not her only viral moment of the weekend as she looks to best last year’s second-place finish in the event at Pebble Beach.

Hull has blossomed into a superstar on the LPGA circuit, ranking eighth in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings ahead of this week’s tournament. Since turning pro in 2015, she’s racked up a pair of Tour wins to add to her trio of Ladies European Tour victories.

Those feats are certainly to be celebrated, but she’s still after that ever-elusive first major win. Her next opportunity will come this weekend at the US Open at Lancaster Country Club.

Before even teeing off, she’s already won the crowd over.

Hull was spotted smoking cigarettes while signing memorabilia for fans in attendance.

Making John Daly proud!

While she’s already won the practice round, the 28-year-old will soon turn her attention to the competition.

Charley Hull hopes to best last year’s 2nd-place US Open finish.

This season has been a bit up and down to date, as she landed two Top 10 finishes over her first three events before having to withdraw from the Ford Championship in late March.

Since, she’s placed 23rd, 13th, and 34th in her last three fields.

Hull is looking to return to the form that helped her place second in last year’s US Open at Pebble Beach.

During that tournament, a late run allowed her to skyrocket up the leaderboard to land that No. 2 spot – as well as a near-million-dollar payday. Her performance included a round-best 66 on Sunday to finish the tournament at six-under par.

Hull is looking to not only match that output this weekend, but to top it for that first major victory.

Can she do it? It will take a much better showing than her last Open outing at Lancaster Country Club when she shot +6 as an LPGA rookie to place 42nd.

One thing is for sure – her week’s already gotten off to a smokin’ hot start!
