Chennedy Carter is in hot water, once again, for being a dirty WNBA player. Caitlin Clark’s bully was called for a technical foul on Friday after clobbering her former teammate with reckless abandon.
Wherever she goes, controversy follows!
Carter, drafted No. 4 overall in 2020, spent last season in Turkey. The 25-year-old guard signed with the Chicago Sky during the offseason. She is currently averaging 16.9 points per game for a team that could sneak into a playoff spot through the back door with a strong push down the stretch.
Although Carter is playing pretty well, the rest of the league is not a fan.
Clark was on the receiving end of a nasty cheap shot back in June that set the WNBA world on fire. Even Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon threw her top scorer under the bus for the nasty play. Carter proudly declared that she did not have any regrets.
A similar incident happened not long thereafter.
Chennedy Carter hit Skylar Diggins in the face. It was upgraded to a flagrant foul upon review.
She has a history with this type of play!
That leads us to Friday night, when Connecticut beat Chicago by two. Marina Mabrey was traded from the Sky to the Sun on July 17 so it was her first game against her former team.
There is, apparently, some serious beef between the two parties.
Chennedy Carter came down hard on Mabrey during the second half. She swiped right at her head, not the ball.

Carter was rightfully called for a flagrant foul. There was no debate. It was yet another dirty play.
Mabrey was asked about the the foul after the game and threw heavy shade at the other side.

Chicago players mostly ignored their former teammate throughout the entire game. They gave her a cold shoulder. There are layers to it, apparently.
Chennedy Carter is one foul away from an automatic suspension. She has four on the season.
A dirty player stays dirty!
