Ava Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, is going viral for the unbelievably lavish dorm room she just moved into at Southern Methodist University.
Whoever her new dorm roommate is at SMU just hit the jackpot, though that neon sign Ava has of her first and middle name above the headboard of her bed could be a problem.
“Today, I left a piece of my heart at SMU,” Ava’s mom Tavia Hunt wrote in the caption to photos of the room on Instagram. “Ava Hunt, you’ve always been a mix of sunshine and hurricane – fierce, fearless, and capable of incredible things. I’m overflowing with excitement for you, even as I tuck away my tears for later.
“I’m wading through emotions as I pass by your now too-clean room, the house is too quiet without your laughter, and Chief and I are already missing the familiar scent of your Sol de Janeiro body spray. I know you’ll return often, and that this marks a new adventure and freedom for both of us …yet, I whisper earnest prayers for your safety, wisdom, and for a tribe of new sisters who love Jesus and love you. May God bless you and watch over you – He has never failed me, nor will He fail you. I’m excited for the lessons you will learn about God’s faithfulness in the coming months.

Why that all needed to be written in a public forum and not just in a personal note to Ava is a mystery, but the sentiments are certainly nice.
It also appears that Ava Hunt has recovered from the “deep wound” she suffered while falling down a mountain a few weeks ago, which is also nice.
Earlier this year, Ava, whose March 29th birthday is the same as her sister Gracie Hunt’s, announced on Instagram that had committed to SMU and will be a member of the university’s cheer team after being the co-captain of the The Covenant School Knights cheer squad.
