Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs dealt with a patchwork group of wide receivers and still won their second-straight Super Bowl. Now, they’ve added a big weapon for Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid to use, and a three-peat seems closer than ever.
The Kansas City Chiefs traded up from the 32nd pick to the 28th pick with the Buffalo Bills to select Texas WR Xavier Worthy.
That name should ring a bell. Xavier Worthy just set the NFL combine record with a 4.21 40-yard dash time.
I know exactly what your reaction is. How could the NFL allow Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid to get another speed demon to add to that offense? The only thing they were missing last year was a reliable deep threat!
Now, they have that player. Worthy, a true junior, can absolutely fly. He’s going to fit right in that offense. Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice both do great work in the short and intermediate range. New acquisition Hollywood Brown is, in theory, a burner, but he’s been most effective in the NFL as a yards after catch guy. Worthy is going to stretch the defense and force teams to keep their safeties out of the box. That will open up things for the other pass catchers as well as for the run game led by Isiah Pacheco..
Worthy had over 2,700 yards and 26 receiving touchdowns in three years in Austin.
Right now, people on the internet just cannot believe the Chiefs’ luck.
oh my god how did everyone let the Chiefs draft Xavier Worthy

We gave a 4th to the chiefs to gain a 3rd and let the Chiefs get the best receiver on the board. This is not fun

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, blame the Bills
