Following a terrifying injury on Monday Night Football that has left him fighting for his life, virtually the entire country has rallied behind Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, including professional wrestler Chris Jericho.

The WWE legend, who now wrestles for AEW, donated $5,000 to Hamlin’s GoFundMe, which has now exceeded $6 million. Jericho, however, accidentally spelled his name as “Chrus Jericho”, so to remedy the situation, he simply donated another $5K under the correct name.

Jericho’s donation, for what it’s worth, was more than that of the Washington Commanders, who have a reported valuation of over $5 billion.

At this time, Hamlin remains in critical condition in the ICU at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. On Tuesday, Hamlin’s friend Jordon Rooney released a statement saying that his family is thankful “for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time.”

“On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support show to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, ad donations from fans around the country,” the family’s official statement reads.

“We also want to acknowledge the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who have provided exceptional care to Damar. We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bills organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they’ve done.”

“Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us. Please keep Damar in your prayers. We will release updates as soon as we have them,” the statement concludes.

Other celebrities have been very generous with their donations to Damar Hamlin’s charity. Robert Kraft donated $18,003, a meaningful number because “within the Jewish faith, 18 is “chai” and signifies life. The “3” is Damar Hamlin’s number”. Tom Brady donated $10,000. Russell Wilson and Ciara donated $10,000. And the Washington Commanders donated $5,000.

Additional donations have rolled in from Andy Dalton, Rudy Giulani, Matthew Stafford ($12,000), the Houston Texasn ($10,003), Davante Adams ($5,000), Ryan Leaf ($2,500), and Shannon Sharpe ($2,500).
