It’s going to be a long offseason for Houston Texans QB CJ Stroud.
Last week, the Texans were eliminated from the playoffs after Stroud threw four interceptions in their loss to the Patriots.
During a recent press conference, Stroud implied that he struggled when the team changed their offense philosophy and asked him to do less in offense.
“I’ve been on some great teams my whole career where a lot of them were offense-driven. Playing for Coach [Ryan] Day, where we’re taking shots and all these and then being on this team where we’re more full everywhere. It’s offense, defense and special teams, but defense is making a bunch of plays. So, this year was a step for me where I didn’t have to be Superman all the time and I’m still growing in that,”
CJ Stroud details how he’s had to transition from being on offense-driven teams to more complementary ones.

UFC fighter Derrick Lewis, from Houston, believes Stroud struggled after he began hanging out with Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian.
“Ever since he came to the softball game with Amber Rose a few years ago and Kim Kardashian. I’m like damn … it might be a curse for him.”

Lewis is referring to the time when everyone thought Rose and Stroud were dating after playing in a celebrity softball game in Houston in 2024.
Stroud is likely to have to endure more hot takes on his play until the start of next season.
