Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud has commented on a video taken after their Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears that seemingly showed him trying to “little bro” Caleb Williams.

While greeting each other at midfield after the game, CJ Stroud — who is six weeks older than Williams but has been in the NFL for a year longer — tried to impart some advice on Caleb Williams, whose facial expression suggested that he wasn’t having it.

“Good job out there bro. Keep going,” Stroud told Williams during the postgame pleasantries at midfield.

“Hey, stop taking those hits. Learn from those mistakes and everything that you got, bro, is in you already, bro. You going to be a hell of a player in this league.”

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the video seemingly gained so much traction that Stroud addressed it, saying that it was not his intention to ‘little bro’ the Bears’ rookie signal-caller.

“I was not trying to little bro him or anything. He knows that, too. I have a ton of respect for him,” Stroud said.

“I had so many guys coming to me after games last year and that meant the world to me that those guys even thought about giving me advice. So, I just try to give back to what the game is giving me. I wish him the best man. I want him to do amazing in this league. I think he will.”

Given that Stroud tore up the NFL as a rookie en route to winning Rookie of the Year and leading the Texans to an AFC South title, Stroud is certainly in a position to give valuable advice to Williams, who should be trying to learn from anyone and everyone he can as he attempts to become the Bears’ first legitimate franchise QB in decades.

The Bears and Williams will look to rebound from their Week 2 loss to Houston when they take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. As for Stroud and the Texans, they head to Minnesota to take on the surprising 2-0 Vikings his weekend.
