Popular college football YouTube personality Garrett Fedewa has been banned indefinitely from the Clemson campus according to a recent report. The social media star was caught trespassing in Memorial Stadium, leading to a run-in with authorities.
Fedewa updated his following after the fact. He said he fully knew of the risk involved when filming for his “Walk On Challenge” series.
Garrett Fedewa, or “GFed” as he’s better known online, has a YouTube page dedicated to his sneaking into college stadiums and arenas. He provides video footage of his adventures to post online for his 41.7K subscribers. One of his more recent trips included a visit to the University of South Carolina.
That trip went swimmingly as he successfully gained access to Williams-Brice Stadium, as well as tailgating areas around the venue to include the popular “Cockabooses.” While inside the stadium, he takes viewers around the concourse before making his way into the press box and premium seating areas.
His visit to Clemson wasn’t quite as smooth. While he was able to make his way in Death Valley, he was met by campus police after arrival. Here’s more from The State Newspaper:
The Clemson University Police Department issued Fedewa a formal trespass notice for gaining unauthorized access to Memorial Stadium on Nov. 8. He is now banned from campus indefinitely, as first revealed by Fedewa and confirmed by The State…
The school generally makes an effort to accommodate all requests to highlight specific players, teams, and venues. In Fedewa’s case, the main issue appeared to be a lack of prior communication. Memorial Stadium is listed as a ‘publicly available facility’ in the university’s facility use policy, but anyone wishing to use the venue must obtain formal permission and a reservation.
By accessing the stadium without permission, Fedewa violated that policy.
Clemson is a “publicly available facility,” but it simply asks permission before entry. The school has reason to be cautious with trespassers as it previously dealt with a vandalism incident of Howard’s Rock, one of the stadium’s staple fixtures.
It’s not Garrett Fedewa’s first run-in with authorities on his stadium visits. He’s also been banned at the University of Georgia for two years stemming from his “unlawful” access of facilities.
“Given Mr. Fedewa’s recent history of unauthorized entries, his active warrant, and his lack of affiliation with Clemson University, I issued him a trespass notice, barring him from Clemson University campus grounds,” a CUPD officer wrote.
Fedewa wasn’t arrested for the trespassing, but he was cited for “suspicious activity,” according to The State. He provided his following with an update of that run-in on X in November.

Garrett Fedewa didn’t post his footage from Clemson online for fear of being arrested, though he insists he doesn’t hold any ill-will towards the university. Law enforcement “did what it had to do.” Unfortunately, he won’t be allowed back for an extended period of time.
