Cleveland Browns fans are not happy with the current state of their NFL franchise. They decided to stay home on Sunday instead of braving the elements to support a team that has already been eliminated from playoff contention.
To make matters worse, the organization decided to test the voodoo of Taylor Swift prior to kickoff.
Lets first take a look at the crowd. According to multiple reports, Cleveland’s (in?)famous Muni Lot was the most empty it has been in a very long time.
Emptiest I have ever seen the muni lot – even during 4-44. Plenty of parking available for the Swifties.
— Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan
While a large number of fans chose not to tailgate on a wet 40-degree day that felt more like 22 degrees, there was still a decent contingency of diehards would never miss a game day. Nothing can keep them down and they deserve praise for their unwavering support!

With that being said, the lot was mostly empty as you went further back.
Muni Lot- go ahead and fight. We the fans will be at home. Let us know when you’re a good football team. Last home playoff game 1994. Quit your yapping. pic.twitter.com/n0lXd4y3y5

Huntington Bank Stadium was a ghost town with about 15 minutes until kickoff.

The crowd did fill in come time for the national anthem. Most of the lower bowl was at capacity or close.
I love it when people who buy tickets from me send me pictures from the game and their seats… What a great view of the Browns/Chiefs game…. A friend took his two boys to the game. pic.twitter.com/IBiws9e9YT

Boots on the ground were not impressed by the turnout, which was still much lower than normal. There was also a noticeable amount of visitors in attendance.
Stadium looks about as filled as a pre season game.

The weather obviously played a huge role in the attendance. Sitting in the cold for three+ hours is not fun. Sitting in the cold while it is raining is downright miserable. Cleveland is also 3-10. That doesn’t help.
In addition to the meteorological conditions, the Browns announced on Saturday that Deshaun Watson will return as the starting quarterback in 2025. Fans are furious. Some have cancelled their tickets.
I'm not wasting my money anymore.

You guys thought I was bluffing. https://t.co/dguOZcGUY9 pic.twitter.com/ldoNcLT49O
The combination of factors led to an underwhelming crowd for Sunday’s game against the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions. Can you blame them?
Taylor Swift did not show up either!
Travis Kelce’s girlfriend chose to sit this one out as well. She did not travel to the 216 to support Kansas City’s tight end despite some rumblings earlier in the week. Nobody knows anything.
Her lack of attendance left quite a few fans wishing they stayed home as well.
Pretty bizarre atmosphere for Browns-Chiefs. Sitting by multiple families with kids who are clearly only here because they thought Taylor Swift would be here.
— Ben Axelrod
Browns fans came prepared even though Taylor Swift did not show up.

The team also catered to Swifties during pregame, which was a big mistake. Everybody knows not to mess with the voodoo of Taylor Swift, aka Tayvoodoo. Just ask Justin Tucker!
Cleveland decided to tempt fate. It invited Swift’s guitarist to shred on the field prior to player intros.
The special guest everyone has been waiting for, Taylor Swift…'s guitarist, Cleveland native Paul Sidoti! pic.twitter.com/WE5WZuTU9Z

The disappointed Swifties who did not get to see their queen at least got to see her famous guitar player. They know him.
However, the Cleveland Browns directly pit themselves against Taylor Swift while playing against her boyfriend. That is never a good idea!
