Cole Hamels, Wife Pull Bro Move Of The Year, Donate $9.4 Million Mansion To Charity

Camp Barnabas

Standing ovation to MLB pitcher Cole Hamels for pulling one of the biggest Bro moves of the year. Rather than putting it on the market for another rich person to own, Hamels and his wife, Heidi, donated their massive mansion and 100 acres of land in southwest Missouri to Camp Barnabas, a charity that runs camps for children with special needs and chronic illnesses.

The mansion is on Table Rock Lake in The Ozarks of southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas. According to a press release from Hamels, his family felt compelled to donate the mansion, which they built as a dream home but never lived in.

“Seeing the faces, hearing the laughter, reading the stories of the kids they serve; there is truly nothing like it,” he said in the statement. “Barnabas makes dreams come true, and we felt called to help them in a big way.”

More pics of the property over on the Camp’s website.

Such a Bro move by the Hamels family. Makes me love him even more than I did in his peak Phillies-era New Era and Xfinity commercials. Vintage Cole.
