On Monday’s episode of The Herd, Colin Cowherd claimed that he has received some “intel” that the Conor McGregor–Floyd Mayweather fight is a done deal.
“My intel is Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is going to happen. It changed late last week… got a call then somebody else sent me something yesterday and Saturday… we’ve booked rooms in Vegas,” announced Cowherd.
Cowherd goes on to say that the fight will take place the weekend of September 17th and that, just like the rest of the world, he doesn’t think it will be a good fight, but it will definitely be “an event.”
If what he says actually turns out to be true, Cowherd is probably correct on both counts.
He also mentioned that an official announcement about the fight should be made in about two weeks so I guess we’ll find more then. Or not. Who knows anymore?
