While the whole sports world is wondering where Aaron Rodgers — who has bailed on the New York Jets’ mandatory minicamp to be at an “important” event — is, Fox Sports 1 radio host Colin Cowherd claims to know.

On the Wednesday, June 12 episode of his sports talk show The Herd, Colin Cowherd said that the 40-year-old Jets quarterback is on an “overseas vacation” and that where he is exactly will be reported on Thursday, June 13.

Cowherd, similar to fellow FS1 personality Nick Wright, was quite critical of Rodgers, saying that this is what we’ve come to expect from the future Hall of Famer.

“I was told last night [Tuesday, June 11] from a source I trust: Aaron’s on vacation and it’s overseas,” Cowherd began.

Cowherd also says he knows where Rodgers is but cannot reveal specifics in an effort not to burn his source.

“I’m also told you’ll learn about where he’s at tomorrow. Don’t want to burn my souce — I’m told you’ll learn about it tomorrow,” he continued. Maybe he is at an event, can’t believe there’s something overseas that would take 7, 8, 9 days — again, maybe they have a music festival. But the point is, don’t be surprised by this. This is sort of what you would expect. Impulsive owner, new GM, coach with a losing record, prickly, older, at times arrogant, disconnected quarterback.

Some NFL fans have speculated that Rodgers could be in California for an event that fringe presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy is holding in Glendale on Thursday, June 13.

Rodgers is just one of two members of the New York Jets that is not in attendance at mandatory minicamp, as pass rusher Haason Reddick — whom the team traded for earlier in the offseason and has yet to speak to head coach Robert Saleh — is also holding out for a new contract.

SNY reporter Connor Hughes says that the Jets were made aware of Rodgers’ absence weeks ago as the former Green Bay Packers QB reportedly planned this trip while he was rehabbing. Still, when speaking to the media, Saleh created a firestorm of headlines nonetheless by making it clear that the absence is technically “unexcused.”

Regardless of where Rodgers is or what he’s up to, he’s still achieved he’s primary goal, and that’s getting people to pay attention to him.
