‘College Football 25’ Players Were Caught Off Guard By The Hilarious Text Message Options In ‘Road To Glory’ Mode

On Monday, the Early Access window for College Football 25 officially opened up a few days ahead of its official release date, and plenty of people who decided to dive into the game’s “Road To Glory” mode weren’t prepared for some of the text message options that quickly went viral thanks to their fairly unexpected nature.

College Football 25 technically doesn’t come out until  July 19th, but hundreds of thousands of impatient gamers decided to shell out an extra $30 to get the chance to play the long-awaited reboot of the beloved franchise when EA Sports gave them access at 4 P.M. ET on Monday.

The initial rollout left a bit to be desired thanks to the server issues that reared their ugly head, but they were eventually cleared up to give players a chance to dive in and see if the wait was worth it.

I’d be willing to bet the majority of people opted to kick off their College Football 25 experience by getting a fresh new Dynasty off of the ground, but there were also plenty of players who opted to check out the “Road To Glory” mode that allows you to create and control a virtual avatar while navigating the many facets of life that come with being a college football player.

The main focus of Road To Glory is obviously your performance on the field, but it can be impacted by some of the decisions you make off of it.

College Football 25 tasks players with making plenty of decisions involving their social life that can have an impact on personal stats and team chemistry—like deciding whether you should help out a teammate who needs to “spend some time with the boys” after breaking up with his girlfriend or asking for her number.

You also need to weigh your options when it comes to responding to members of the opposite sex after getting invited to a party, as getting “overly eager” can result in you sending an embarrassing string of text messages that lead to them blocking you.

I knew EA Sports was focusing on realism, but I didn’t expect them to nail it like that.
