The Indiana Hoosiers are one win away from completing perhaps the most improbable season in college football history, if not the history of American sports on the whole.

But that doesn’t mean the Hoosiers are resting on their laurels. Indiana and head coach Curt Cignetti have already been hard at work in the transfer portal to ensure this is to just a one-season wonder.

According to 247Sports, Indiana already has 12 commitments in its 2026 transfer class, including presumed starting quarterback Josh Hoover from TCU and former Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh, who is expected to be one of his top targets.

Marsh, a former four-star recruit out of high school, and in two years in East Lansing, he caught 100 passes for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns.

Now, he’s bound for Bloomington. But Marsh isn’t waiting for the current season to end to join his new team. The Michigan native was spotted at the Peach Bowl on Friday night sporting Indiana gear and rooting on the Hoosiers during their blowout win over Oregon.

However, keen observers also spotted one other thing about Marsh’s presence.

Indiana Transfer Nick Marsh Seemingly Had FanDuel App On Phone

Michigan State fans and X user @JeffStrongman_ posted a picture of Marsh sitting in the stands watching the game and holding his phone.

A quick zoom in on the phone showed that Marsh apparently had the FanDuel Sportsbook app on the front page of his iPhone.

If that were the case, it would be a major no-no by the star wide receiver.

While college athletes are allowed to gamble on sports such as horse racing, auto racing, and MMA, they cannot bet on any sport, pro orcollege, that has an NCAA-sponsored championship.

Now, you may say, “Maybe he only bets on the approved sports.”

However, Marsh’s birthday is October 1, 2006. That means he only recently turned 19 years old, and anybody who uses betting apps is required to be 21 years of age or older.

There is one possible way that this works out for Marsh. FanDuel also has a separate app for FanDuel Sports Network, which hosts its streaming shows. The symbol for that app is very similar to the sportsbook, although it has two lines of text.

The app on Marsh’s phone appears to have just one line of text. Although the clarity, or lackthereof, of the picture makes it hard to tell.

It’s also possible Marsh has the FanDuel Sportsbook app and hasn’t placed bets. Either way, it’s not the best look in the world for the future Hoosiers player.
