College football season is not going to be kind to Drake. Kendrick Lamar’s diss track ‘Not Like Us‘ will be one of the most played anthems of the fall, which does not bode well for the Canadian-born rapper.
The sport’s assault on Aubrey Drake Graham got underway on Thursday night in Atlanta.
Drake and Kendrick Lamar have beef that dates back more than a decade. They traded little jabs back and forth through various diss tracks over the years but the rivalry escalated to the fullest extent when Drake used A.I.-generated vocals that sounded like Tupac Shakur back in April.
It was a move that did not go over well out in Los Angeles. The West Coast was furious!
Kendrick answered to the rap legend blasphemy with ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA,’ which took direct shots at Drake. Drake responded by accusing Kendrick of being a domestic abuser. He also hinted that one of his children was fathered by another man.
‘Family Matters’ was a huge mistake. Kendrick immediately fired back by accusing Drake of predatory behavior as someone who is involved with sex trafficking and fathered a secret child.
‘Not Like Us’ dropped one day later. The track, which further accuses Drake of pedophilia and many other things, immediately became one of the songs of the summer. You would be hard pressed not to find it a bop. Everybody and their mother walked around humming “they not like us… they not like us…”
Kendrick effectively ended Drake. It’s over. There is no coming back!
College football season is going to destroy Drake.
Marching bands all over the country are going to play Kendrick’s diss-track-turned-chart-topper throughout the entire fall. Horns will be blaring. Lyrics will be chanted. Butts will be shaking.
All for a song that is a direct insult to Drake…
HBCU programs are going to be especially brutal. They will be relentless.
We got our first taste of the upcoming assault at the Atlanta Braves game on Thursday. Alabama State’s Mighty Marching Hornets band was lit. It was just a small taste of what is to come.
Poor Drake… He went after the king and now he will be forced to hear college bands diss him from the stands all season long. You just haaaaaate to see it!
