The Colorado social media team found themselves the target of unexpected criticism upon posting video of a Shedeur Sanders touchdown pass online. The clip, which seemed to show off a great play by the Buffaloes’ offense, quickly became controversial.

Did content creators edit the highlight to make Colorado’s star shine brighter? They say no – and they have the receipts!

The Buffs are taking part in preseason camp as they gear up for an opener vs. North Dakota State. Offense will play a large part in the success of the team as a whole, and Shedeur Sanders will be leading that charge.

The quarterback is a potential No. 1 overall pick in the coming NFL Draft, and he looks primed for a productive senior season in Boulder this fall.

His talents were on full display during a recent practice session.

The Buffaloes’ social team posted a clip of the passer connecting with one of his wideouts on a deep touchdown. The video of that play began from Sanders’ point of view before cutting to the receiver’s catch in the endzone.

Not long after, accusations flew!

Haters claimed Colorado edited the video to make Shedeur Sanders look better.

At first glance, it almost seems like two different plays are being used. The first shows Sanders letting go of his release in the pocket. The second shows the touchdown grab.

A number of followers believed it was altered.

“That throw wasn’t caught.”

“I’m sure that pass was intercepted. The way you put two different videos together.”

“Very funny but clearly edited.”

After seeing the online criticism, the social media team posted the receipts. The play was legit!

Colorado has quickly become the team everyone loves to hate with Deion Sanders taking over at the helm. Many have blasted the culture created in Boulder and the approach used by the head coach in running his program.

The Buffs weren’t listening to that disrespect in this particular case, and they emphatically proved the doubters wrong!
