Colts Player Appears To Purposely Cause Teammate To Fumble And It Could Cost Houston The No. 1 Pick

Houston Texans fans are furious with the Colts as the two teams battle in the regular season finale, and a Colts fumble is now going viral. The game is meaningless in regard to playoff race, but there’s still something on the line.

Houston can secure the No. 1 draft pick with a loss. The Texans are just 2-13-1 on the year, and another loss would guarantee that top overall selection.

But with a win, there’s a chance the Bears can slide into the No. 1 spot.

It appears that the Texans are doing their best to win the game, despite the potential draft implications. They lead at the halftime break by a score of 17-7.

Much to the dismay of fans, Houston could be on the verge of picking up their second win in the last three weeks. Typically, that would be a good thing. Not in this case.

And it looks like the Colts are doing everything in their power to ensure the Texans win, too. One play in particular is now being looked at, and it has Houston fans furious online.

The NFL media had some fun with the clip at the Colts’ expense. Clay Travis of Outkick said, “Textbook fumble strip here from a Colts offensive lineman on his own running back. It’s been a long season in Indy.”

Former player Chris Long thinks there might be a bit of motive behind the miscue, writing, “Colts making sure the Texans don’t get the No. 1 pick.”

How incredible would it be to see Houston lose the No. 1 pick because a division rival is purposely turning the ball over? This fumble is next level thinking from the Colts.

If the Texans to go on to win this game, they can all but kiss the top spot goodbye. The Bears appear to be on their way to a season-ending loss to the Minnesota Vikings, which could help them swoop in at the last possible moment.
